Breakers basketball

Last week Coach T went to a coaching clinic hosted by NZ Breakers coaching staff also attended by our players Josh Bourk and Alan Hong. All three learnt much from this experience and it was great for Josh and Alan to rub shoulders with some of Hawkes Bays top players.
On Friday the senior boys team went to a coaching clinic at Centennial Hall run by players from both the NZ Breakers and Athletes in Action teams. This was another good learning experience for the boys and gave them a chance to learn and improve some skills.
We ended the week with a Whanau hui and shared meal at school on Friday night. Everyone brought some food and we listened to the players describe some of the highlights from our Aussie trip. Our parents were also given copies of the draft school Vision and Values and we await their response.
All parents and supporters of the team were impressed with how the players have developed and matured as the year has has progressed.
